Why are we talking about clean sites and presentation?
Maintaining a clean and professional site isn’t just about looking good (but that’s a big part of it!), it's about safety, efficiency, and reputation. Every InJoinery operative on site is a reflection of who we are as a company. A clean and well-organised working environment shows pride in our work, improves safety, and leaves a strong impression on clients and visitors.
What does "site cleanliness" mean?
Site cleanliness covers everything from wearing the correct uniform to how we manage waste and organise our tools. It includes:
Wearing presentable workwear
Keeping PPE and clothing tidy and in good condition.
Ensuring work areas and toolboxes are organised.
Clearing waste and debris regularly.
Following proper waste disposal procedures according to the site rules.
Why does it matter?
Presentation to client: Clients look at both the final result and the way we do the job. A clean site and smart appearance show professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for their property.
Team morale: A tidy site and professional appearance encourage pride in our work and respect among the team.
Efficiency: When tools and materials are where they should be, work is faster and more effective.
Safety: Cluttered workspaces and unmanaged waste create hazards, clean sites are safer for everyone.
What happens if standards aren't met?
A messy site or poor presentation can:
Lead to complaints from the client or main contractor.

Pack away tools at the end of every work day.
Waste Management:
Clear and tidy up at the end of every work day.
Use designated bins and waste stations according to the site rules.
